EFL launches 72 club sticker album with Panini

November 21 – Nothing says football fandom like sticking the final sticker to a finished Panini album. Anyone who grew up exchanging doubles in the schoolyard can still hear the rhythm: “got it, got it, need it, need it.”

For the first time, fans can collect stickers featuring players from 72 clubs across the Championship, League One and League Two. The new album, launched at the National Football Museum in Manchester, marks Panini’s first collaboration with the English Football League in more than two decades.

The collection includes 788 stickers containing stats, rare Elite and Key Player cards, cloth gear, and beloved shinies that every kid hoards like treasure.

Katie Gritt, head of sports marketing at Panini, said the collection finally gives every fan the opportunity to get a sticker from the club closest to their hearts. “Including players from 72 clubs for the first time, for many fans this will be the first time they have been able to collect player stickers from the clubs they love,” he said. “This collection celebrates the incredible talent in the EFL as well as the legends of the game.”

Ben Wright, chief commercial officer at the EFL, said the project capitalizes on what makes football special at every level. “Football is about passion, memories and moments that unite fans,” said Wright. “This first sticker album featuring all 72 clubs is very special. It celebrates the legends who shaped our game and the current players and managers who make the Championship, League One and League Two so exciting today.”

Stocked in more than 8,000 stores nationwide, the album has the feel of a classic Panini hit. And somewhere this weekend, a new generation of kids will be sitting on cold stadium steps trading the same old chants: get it, get it, need it.
