Mascherano broke his silence to Messi’s controversy

July 29-Lionel Messi All-Star No Show is a controversy that refuses to die, with Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano finally breaking his silence in the affair.

Messi was beaten with a ban on one match by Commissioner Major League Soccer (MLS) Don Garber for missing an annual exhibition at Austin, Texas, causing Argentina to miss a tent match for his club against FC Ringinnati on Saturday.

And Mascherano made his feelings clear in the post-match press conference after the match was finished in a goalless draw.

“I have an opinion about what happened but I did not come here to criticize MLS,” Mascherano began, before continuing to do that. “We are not adapting to what happened, beyond the fact that I do not agree with the decision – I do not agree at all.

“What will happen if today’s game is an away game? Is that also prevent Leo from playing? Because to fill the stadium and make money, no one complains, right?”

The opposite stadiums around the US usually sell out when Messi and Miami come to visit.

MLS Commissioner Garber openly recognizes Messi’s busy schedule but has a previous form in banning superstars in the form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic LA Galaxy.

“What I think is strange is that one day they say one thing and the next day they made a completely different decision,” said Mascherano.

Jorge Mas said that the decision “Draconian” was the owner who bluffed. Mascherano surgical dissection of MLS logic feels much more destructive.
