Panama President Manuel Arias returned to the FIFA Pier for violating his 6 Months
August 13-President Fa Panama Manuel Arias returned under the FIFA investigation again, only a month after serving the six-month ban that was imposed on him by the Aide Room of the FIFA Ethics Committee who forbade him to take part in activities related to football.
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has opened a process against it because it has the potential to violate the provisions of the prohibition, saying that they are an investigation “Potential Violations of Article 21 FIFA Disciplinary Code because of the alleged failure to respect the decisions given by the Supervision Room.”
Arias (photo) once again proved to be an outlier of government in the Central American sub-region who had seen other countries working hard to clean their own image and in the region, and increasingly behind the ‘First Football’ Mantra Concacaf. With a stronger focus on good governance and the development of their national matches, the Golden Cup sees the competitive contribution of breakthroughs from Guatemala and Honduras in particular, and the reappearance of Costa Rika.
Panama has become part of the resurrection of Central America but is disappointed with the Gold Cup. The new FIFA Ethics Probe Arias is now throwing a shadow that stretches beyond Panama to an area that still improves his reputation after several Fifagate and old suspicions around the soccer officials.
There are no details given regarding specific violations by Arias’s prohibition.
In January Arias was banned for six months because of the embarrassing comments that he made in a media interview about the Star Star Striker of the country Marta Cox after Panama was eliminated from the preliminary round of the Golden Cup Concacaf W March before.
Arias’s comments made women’s football surprised in this region for their nature and personal attacks on Cox.
Responding to media questions about what was wrong with Panama football after his team was eliminated from the G gold Cup W after the defeat of Brazil, Colombia and Puerto Rico, Cox said the biggest problem faced by the players in Panama was the lack of good quality facilities to develop players.
Arias, angry because Cox expressed his opinion about the game in Panama (Cox played for Xolos De Tijuana in Mexico), changing the debate private, saying: “Marta Cox stopped to talk about our league. He was not shaped, he was fat, he could not move in the field.”
“You have to do ‘mea culpa’ and the players are physically unhealthy,” Arias said. “It’s easy to talk, but he doesn’t know anything about the Panama League for years, he doesn’t know what is happening here.”
It was an amazing explosion from President FA Panama.
Following the prohibition, in a statement about X, Arias apologized for “a very unfortunate language used”, that he realized his mistakes and that he received his punishment.
He stopped offering his resignation by saying that Panama FA’s first vice president, Fernando Arce, would take his position until he returned, saying he would “do it at 100%”.
It seems that Arias’s interpretation of what the meaning of ‘100%’ is different from Article 21 of FIFA.
