The Real Madrid coach replied

Facing increasing media speculation about behind-the-scenes unrest at Real Madrid, Xabi Alonso dismissed the claims – insisting the club remains “very solid from within.” The comments come amid reports that several high-profile players are unhappy with management, and talk of Xabi Alonso’s possible sacking is starting to emerge.

Despite the pressure, Alonso admitted that he remained confident in the unity of his squad. “We all know and are clear about the goal, namely to reach the end of March, April, May with the opportunity to win everything,” he said.

“We were together in good times and not so good times,” continued the man from Spain. “Things like this happen in football teams. We have a good connection every day. Despite everything that is said and what some people want, we are very solid from the inside.”

Players’ Union – Public Support Amid Xabi Alonso Rumors

Amid rumors of Xabi Alonso’s dismissal, midfielder Federico Valverde posted a message on social media showing solidarity in the dressing room:

“After a week of many things being discussed, we are more united than before. Having Vini and [Kylian] Mbappe is a stroke of luck, but to have the best team in the world committed is an honour.”

Alonso also took the opportunity to explain his relationship with Bellingham, describing it as a strong one. He praised Bellingham’s professionalism, willingness to learn and adaptability.

“I have a very good relationship with him,” said the Real Madrid coach. “He has a desire to learn, know, help and be more efficient.”

Results Don’t Lie

Alonso did not deny that managing Real Madrid comes with pressure.

He acknowledged, “It’s demanding, that’s for sure,” but added that he’s no stranger to such circumstances. He reminded critics and fans that discomfort and uncertainty are not unusual when a new manager tries to install structure and discipline in a squad accustomed to freedom. “You have to know how to deal with it,” said the Real Madrid coach.

Indeed, despite rumors of Xabi Alonso’s dismissal, Real Madrid remains in a strong position both in the La Liga table and the Champions League table.

Success on the pitch gave Alonso and his supporters at the club a strong platform to resist calls for change. Club insiders reportedly believe that now is not the time for disruption.

Whether this will result in long-term stability depends on what happens in the next few months. For Alonso, support from the players and results on the pitch are very important to dispel doubts.
