The US-led WWC 2031 bid names 35 cities in 4 countries and projects $4 billion+ in revenue
December 1 – The bid book for a joint US-Mexico-Costa Rica-Jamaica hosting of the 2031 Women’s World Cup was submitted to FIFA last Friday, projecting $4 billion+ in revenue and more than 4 million fans in the stadium under the ‘For Now’ banner. For further’.
The four countries’ bid is the only one to host 2031 and promises to break all previous records in terms of fan engagement, attendance and in terms of generating commercial revenue. Of the projected $4 billion in total revenue, marketing and sponsorships are projected at $1.4 billion.
Proposed ticket prices are $35 for the cheapest seats in the opening round to $120 to $600 for the knockout rounds.
“2031 represents a historic opportunity to use soccer as a force for enormous global good. For Now, we will use this tournament as a catalyst for participation, interest and cultural transformation. For Now, we aim to bring soccer to every woman and girl, everywhere, and to help change the landscape of the women’s game forever with a special focus on safeguarding and supporting girls in the sport,” said US Soccer Federation president Cyndy Parlow Cone.
“Football has given us more than just a sense of purpose. From equal pay agreements to sustainable investment at every level of the game, we have seen first-hand how sport can increase opportunity and drive meaningful progress. In 2031, football offers us the opportunity to leave a mark that goes beyond the pitch, providing a platform where women and girls – on the pitch, on the touchline and in every role in the game – can inspire, lead and thrive.”
Eleven US cities hosting the 2026 Men’s World Cup appeared on the 2031 candidacy list, but not all stadiums made the cut. Hard Rock Stadium in Miami is the most glaring omission.

The other three stadiums in the US are also not part of the “representative sample” of 20 that bid officials say will undergo FIFA’s formal evaluation. The 20 locations reflect the combined locations where games can be played in the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica and Jamaica.
Of the 20 places highlighted, 14 are in the US:
• Atlanta (Mercedes-Benz Stadium)
• Charlotte (Bank of America Stadium)
• Dallas–Fort Worth (AT&T Stadium)
• Denver (Empowerment Field at Mile High)
• Houston (NRG Stadium)
• Kansas City (Arrowhead Stadium)
• Los Angeles (SoFi Stadium)
• Minneapolis (US Bank Stadium)
• Nashville (Geodic Park)
• New York/New Jersey (MetLife Stadium)
• Orlando (Camping World Stadium)
• San Diego (Snapdragon Stadium)
• Seattle (Lumen Field)
• Washington, DC (future Commanders stadium)
Mexico’s four proposed locations are:
• Mexico City (Azteca Stadium)
• Guadalajara (Akron Stadium)
• Monterrey (BBVA Stadium)
• Torreón (Santos Modelo Region)
Costa Rica and Jamaica complete the list with:
• San José (National Stadium)
• Kingston (National Stadium)

The broader list shows how bidding teams are keeping their options open as they and FIFA shape plans for the 2031 tournament. They still need to determine how many games will be staged in large, NFL-style venues and how many will be held in smaller, more intimate and easier-to-fill stadiums.
Some US cities also include secondary stadium options:
• Toyota Stadium in Frisco
• Shell Energy Stadium in Houston
• CPKC Stadium in Kansas City
• LA Memorial Coliseum, Rose Bowl and Dignity Health Sports Park
• Nissan Stadium in Nashville
• NYCFC’s upcoming Sports Illustrated Stadium and Etihad Park in New Jersey/New York
• Inter & Co Stadium in Orlando
• Audi Field in Washington, DC
Beyond the main group, the offer book lists additional cities and venues:
• Baltimore (M&T Bank Stadium)
• Birmingham, Alabama (Patron Stadium)
• Boston (Gillette Stadium)
• Cincinnati (TQL Stadium)
• Cleveland/Columbus (Huntington Bank Field and Lower.com Field, paired even though they are several hours apart)
• Indianapolis (new stadium not yet built)
• Miami (Chase Stadium, Inter Miami’s new home which will open next year)
• Philadelphia (Lincoln Financial Field)
• Phoenix (State Farm Stadium)
• Salt Lake City (America’s First Field)
• San Francisco Bay Area (Levi’s Stadium and Oracle Park)
•St. Louis (Energizer Park)
• Tampa (Raymond James Stadium)
• Pachuca (Miguel Hidalgo Stadium)
• Querétaro (Corregidora Stadium)
Hard Rock Stadium is the only 2026 venue not included at all in the 2031 bid.
FIFA will officially confirm the candidacy of the 2031 and 2035 hosts at its congress on April 30, 2026.
The final lineup of host cities will likely be set after the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil. Bidding officials have suggested Atlanta as the location for the World Cup draw and Dallas as home to the international broadcast center, although FIFA will have the final say.
