The eastern region has become a dog battle this year, with all the playoff teams exchanged places throughout the season during the MLS playoff push. East not only provides the closest match this season, but also gives us the best storyline.

No matter the team, there is an important storyline for the 10 teams that have entered the last few matches. Some teams play for seeding, while others struggle for their playoff hopes with only a few opportunities left to correct their season’s mistakes.

Some of the biggest storylines have needed time to develop. Now we can see light at the end of the regular season, the storyline has revealed ourselves.

Can Colorado and FC Dallas survive in the west?
