Bruno Fernandes’ performance remains constant for Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes’ performance continues to help Manchester United, but now they have failed to win their home game again. The Red Devils drew 4-4 in the Man United vs Bournemouth Premier League match at Old Trafford, Monday, December 15.

Manchester United currently has 26 points from 16 matches and is in sixth place in the Premier League standings, which doesn’t seem too bad, but it could be much better.

But what is certain is that Manchester United would be in a much worse situation without Bruno Fernandes’ appearance.

The Portugal international scored with a brilliant free-kick against Bournemouth to continue his good run. His goal leveled the score at 3-3, but both teams each scored a goal later to end the match in a tense manner.

Bruno Fernandes’ form

Fernandes has scored five goals and registered seven assists so far for his team this season. This makes him one of the most productive players in the Premier League.

The 31-year-old has now scored 103 goals in 307 games for the Red Devils and is close to completing six years with the club.

Fernandes does not have the luxury of playing alongside great players like other great players at the club such as Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs. Even so, Fernandes’ numbers are still different from the club’s legendary midfielders mentioned above.

The Man United captain has not been very successful in winning trophies since coming to Old Trafford. Still, FA Cup and EFL Cup titles are not bad results for him, all things considered.

Fernandes continues to be one of the Premier League’s most potent creative midfielders. His ability to find his teammates with perfectly placed crosses into the opponent’s penalty box. He can also play delightful through balls and remains one of the best exponents of free kicks.

Manchester United Will Suffer if Fernandes Leaves Next Year

There have been offers from Middle Eastern clubs for the Portuguese maestro. However, Fernandes still has at least a few years left in top-flight football. Therefore, if he leaves the club next year, it would be a setback for them, at least in terms of performance on the pitch.

His contract with United expires in 2027, meaning if he manages to see it out, United may have to let him go for free. It is not financially viable for the club to let one of its biggest stars leave for free.

Bruno Fernandes’ form is limiting United’s ability to consider his possible exit. He is the team’s mainstay without a doubt and remains their best-performing player even after making over 300 appearances for the club.

Now, it remains to be seen whether the Portuguese coach can help his team remain in the top six of the Premier League standings at the end of the season. Missing out on European football won’t help Ruben Amorim’s cause, as far as staying as a manager is concerned. Amorim hopes his compatriots will continue to help him.
