Columbus’s error created chaos in MLS East: Who’s Rising, Who’s Fall

Philadelphia has dominated the eastern region this season, with Cincinnati and Columbus right behind them. The rest of the eastern region has become an old school boxing match for who will have the remaining playoffs.

Crimes change every week with new injuries and players start making gels with their teammates and new systems.

At the Western conference, we began to see the gap from the top with the lack of the top team in the west. The eastern region has become a different story. It is unclear who the top team at the conference and who is the edge of the edge of the playoffs.

A few weeks ago, we thought Inter Miami and the Columbus crew were the top two teams, with everyone clearly behind. That no longer happens with a team with the bottom to the middle of the east at this time.

Trends rise

Orlando is increasingly visible like a MLS Cup competitor, only three points behind the top seeds in the east that can be the motivation they need to take the top position in the east.

Nashville has a momentum for most seasons, with BJ Callaghan’s leadership and tactical assessment of this squad is the arm away from the top seed.

New York City FC has missed Miami in what should be another step back when the club tried to find a new identity. Miami is expected to compete with the top of the back that makes this jump in the standings so big for NYCFC.

Charlotte FC has become an interesting team to be followed when they dance throughout the standings every week. After dropping four straight (including one US open trophy match) Charlotte could rotate past eight excellent if they built a 3-2 win on a stunning Saturday over the Columbus Crew.

What makes this troop so interesting is the young talent that has not reached their steps. Two goals from Patrick Agyemang are positive because this team looked into their future.

Agyemang, the 24 -year -old USMNT prospect has not fulfilled his great hopes for his club with only five goals in the year after his appearance on Saturday.

Down trend

Streak without Inter Miami’s victory began to be alarming, their current form would not be good enough for them to run playoffs let alone be considered a playoff team. Draw on Saturday to Philadelphia showed that this old dog still has a number of battles left in it despite the bad shape in many top players.

Crew Columbus hasn’t won the match since their first fight against Charlotte where they won with only one goal. Since then the crew had to be satisfied with a draw in the last three matches.
