PFA tells the UEFA FIFA and Football Council can not remain neutral and call for the exception of Israel
September 26 – FA Palestine (PFA) has written a letter to members of the FIFA Council and the President of the UEFA Association regarding the Israeli war on Gaza, saying that “football cannot remain neutral while genocide, apartheid, ethnic cleansing, racial oppression practices, and proceed work.
The FIFA Council met October 2 while UEFA also held a member association meeting in October. PFA calls for concrete actions against the Israeli FA from both groups and for zero tolerance to racism, apartheids, incitement, and involvement.
“FIFA Statute, Principles of International Human Rights, and Precedents with the Request of Football History itself. Silence or delay is no longer acceptable,” the letter said. This is a wide opinion distributed among world soccer associations, but FIFA for more than 10 years has ignored Palestinian complaints and under the Gianni Infantino President’s regime has repeatedly refused to overcome the problem, refusing to allow membership voting over Israel’s status despite many calls to act.
The PFA letter, signed by President Lieutenant General Jibril Rajoub, said that “There is an unverse reason to protect Israel FA from accountability. Football in Palestine takes its Lastbreaths.”
In a seven -page letter, references were made for the United Nations Independent International International Investigation Commission in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, which was carried out by Israel and continued to carry out genocide.
References are also made for deliberate destruction of religious, cultural and education sites. In terms of soccer, 289 sports facilities (stadiums, gym, club houses, etc.) Hadbeen was destroyed or badly damaged by Israeli forces, including the Headquarters of PFA Ingaza. Of them, 269 are in Gaza, 20 in the West Bank. About half of them serve football directly.
PFA also referred an International Court (ICJ) which found that the shortening and settlement of the West Bank of Israel, including East Jerusalem, was Andamount Illegal for annexation.
“In connection with entities such as FIFA, ICJ explicitly noted that international organizations were under the task of not recognizing as legal assistance or providing or assisting this arising from the presence of Israel who violated the law in the League.
PFA points to the club, players, and fans who use football to promote military action in Gaza, and “cause great concerns about the involvement or support of genocide.”
All of this means that there are some violations of FIFA law that Infantino and its executive have tried hard to ignore and postpone all forms of assessment. The feeling of increasing globally is that if FIFA wants to be truly respected and trusted as a world leader, rather than being seen as a corrupt organization, it is seen in 2015 at the peak of the Fifagate scandal, he must take action.
“Both historically and in recent times, FIFA has taken exclusive steps when the Association of Members Association committed serious violations of international law as described above. Precedents showed that when the values recognized by the international community as important for peace and global justice were under threats, football could not choose to stand and remain neutral,” PFA letter.
The question now is on the history side of which FIFA and the president will stand?
